![]() Inner Beast, Level 35: Attacks for 350 potency and heals for a portion of the damage dealt.Thrill of Battle, Level 26: Increases maximum hp by 20% and heals for the amount. So, how do we not die? Have a few tools to prevent this from happening, within Warrior we have access to the following: Each part of our combos past Heavy Swing will generate 10 gauge, with an exception being Storm's Path(Heavy Swing->Maim->Storm's Path) which provides 20 gauge. ![]() The other thing both these stances enable is the Beast Gauge, which is our resource mechanic to utilize these abilities. ![]() While Deliverance allows you to connect with our lord and savior Fell Cleave and his son Decimate, our two main damaging abilities. Defiance will enable Inner Beast which provides mitigation(20% for 6 seconds) and healing and Steel Cyclone which is an AoE attack with enmity boost with healing. Deliverance only provides a 5% damage boost as compared to the slew of things Defiance does in comparison, but when you are in each stance certain abilities will change. Though it does lower our damage by 20%, that is what Deliverance is for. Defiance is our jam when we need to be a tank and get hate and stay alive, it provides you with a 25% HP boost, increases threat generation, and increases incoming healing by 20%. Then moving on we have two stances, Defiance and Deliverance. These two things are your primary tools for keeping aggro on you. Its companion in spreading this anger is Overpower, pick a thing, slam axe in its general direction, and it and all its friends will start to come at you. It's your main threat generator for keeping things just as angry at you as you are angry at them. So you've got the right of it with the Butcher's Block Combo. Warrior at times feels like a glorified dps because of it, but tbh that's why most of us play it, not to say it isn't a fantastic actual tank. Thanks everyone :)Īll right, so lets get one thing straight. Help would be much appreciated, I'm super scrubby with tank classes and am hoping Warrior will be a lot of fun for me to learn and optimize. So after much deliberation I've decided to level a Warrior as my first serious high-leveled tank class! Thanks to everyone who helped me decide in my previous thread, all the feedback was extremely helpful in making my decision.Īnyway, most videos I've searched up are all from Heavensward or earlier and thus are not aligned with 4.0 changes and as such will not help me much when learning how to start out, so does anyone have a 4.0 Warrior guide that teaches from the basics, or could you help me out?įrom my understanding and POTD runs on Marauder its a juggle between Butcher's Block combo and the Storm combos, yes? Does anyone have a more in-depth rotation or guide as to how these skills all line up with each other for optimal DPS / enmity? And holy crap, there are a ton of tank cooldowns - what to use when?
